Location

The conference will be held at the Hotel Michael ****

The Hotel Michael is located in a quiet neighborhood in the southern part of Prague and offers 53 rooms, conference room for 90 people, restaurant, garden, and parking.

Prague is a famous historic city listed in the UNESCO world heritage list. The center of Prague can be reached from the hotel by public transport in about half an hour. The hotel also organizes trips to the center.

Prague can be reached by air from all major cities in Europe and through them, from the rest of the world. There are also direct flights from some cities overseas (e.g. New York). From Europe, it is easy to reach Prague by train, bus or car.

Registration

All conference participants, including invited speakers, must register.

There will be a special lunch menu at the Hotel Michael for the fixed price 250 CZK (10 EUR), also available for conference participants staying elsewhere. The lunch tickets can be ordered on the registration page. It will be possible to buy a limited number of lunch tickets at the registration desk. There are also a few restaurants nearby.

All fees must be paid in CZK. The fee is payable by credit card or by bank transfer. All bank charges have to be fully covered by the participant!

If paying by bank transfer, a copy of the transfer receipt must be included with the registration form.

Registration without proof of payment cannot be accepted.

On-site registrations must be paid by credit card or cash (in Czech Crowns) only.

Organizing Secretariat will send confirmation of registration upon receipt of payment by e-mail: be sure your e-mail address is filled in clearly and correctly.
The registration desk will be opened in the building of Academy of Sciences from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on May 10 and in Hotel Michael from May 11 to May 15. On Monday, the registration will start at 8 a.m..

Cancellation

Refund of registration fee, less 25% administrative charges, can be applied for in writing until April 10, 2009 to the Organizing Secretariat. After this date no refund will be possible. For any change of names, a fee of 350 CZK will be charged.

Abstract submission

To submit abstract, please, proceed to the on-line abstract form. The deadline for abstract submission is February 15, 2009. The scientific organizing committee reserves the right to transfer any contribution from oral to poster or vice versa or refuse an abstract altogether, if it does not fit in the conference format. In such cases, the abstract author will be informed by February 25. Details on the requested abstract format and submission deadline will be given in the second announcement.

Travel requirements

Citizens of some nations may require a visa to enter The Czech Republic. As of November 2008, they include citizens of Russia, Ukraine, Serbia, Turkey, India, China, Tajikistan, South Africa and many others. Please contact the nearest Czech embassy for information. The list of Czech embassies can be found at www.czechembassy.org. The Czech Republic is one of the Schengen countries. Valid visa for another country of the Schengen agreement are good to enter Czech Republic.
